Now the wait is over. Since when Microsoft released Windows 7, no one was able to change the boot screen as it requires lots of files and certificates hacks.

Now, a little over one year after the Windows 7 RTM build release, Jeff Bush has released a free tool that does the miracle with a click! Yes, you can now replace the Windows 7 boot animation with a custom one.

Windows 7 Boot Animation Updater is a small tool that allows you change boot animation and texts (Starting Windows and © Microsoft Corporation) in a jiffy.

HOW TO USE

1. Download and run the program's exe file.
2. Go to File > Load Boot skin.
3. Locate this .bs7 file.
4. Apply.
5. Reboot your machine.

• You can change the text messages, remove them completely, change their color. You can also replace animation and background image.
• If you want to change the animation you will have to make an animation! The animation is:

1. 105 frames (if there are less frames the last frame will be repeated as necessary)
2. Each frame is 200x200px (resized if necessary)
3. 15 frames / sec
4. First 4 seconds play once then the last 3 seconds play in a loop

It's tested & it works good with no errors. But before using it's highly recommend  that you backup your Windows 7 first so if in any case something goes wrong you can restore Windows 7.
